I think after critics saw how poorly received SWSH were by the fans they’ll give it harsher reviews. Not to mention how it’s not by Game Freak. Critics aren’t opposed to giving non-GF POKÉMON games shit reviews.

Metacritic scores are a sham, because all game 'journalists' are bankrolled by game companies and wouldn't pass up a chance for more money just to tell the truth that a game is shit. Same with audience review score, because shills will go on full 10/10 review bomb defense mode at the slightest sign of a negative review.
