Just started XD Gale of Darkness after finishing pretty much everything in Colosseum. Still got a few more things I want to do on the latter though

Got Ho-Oh after clearing Mt. Battle in Colosseum, pic related. I'll post my trained bros later that helped me beat the entire game

I'd have to say Platinum is my favorite just cuz, but either Crystal or Emerald are the most replayable for me. So much variety in choosing your team each time you play

Definitely Mystery Dungeon Time/Darkness/Sky. Lots of content, great story, and imo is at least as good as any mainline game if not better. Other than that Colosseum was overall good and the music fantastic.

Archeops is also based.
I'll probably be using Torterra in BDSP as well. Probopass is a great utility mon for catching legendaries with Thunder Wave and tanking hits

I am nuzlocking, but I am also slowing down to enjoy the content I normally skip like Super contests. My Torterra won the Smart Contest I can confirm he is most intelligent.

Chances are I have replayed Emerald or FrLg the most, Gen 3 is just so easy to beat in like 2/3 days casually on speedup.

Love Pokemon MysteryDungeon Sky but Super was actually well worth the price tag I was surprised. Also I am playing Halo for the first time with my best friend and we are having a blast. We are on Halo 1 and the MCC is cool

And that you don't need to swap out cards. But still I just don't know. I thought of getting the doublepack with steelbook but it's sold out everywhere. I can get the game physical for 48 bucks but I am not sure if I should do this or just getmyself a voucher pay 99bucks get pearl and another game (maybe diamond). Will be my first pokemon game digitally.

This is my current team, directly after arriving in Dewford Town. I do not plan my teams out - instead, I catch whatever I encounter first on a new route, then add/remove stored Pokémon to the team to fill whatever role is needed. Additional rules include not levelling past the next gym leader's highest-levelled Pokémon, using the same amount of Pokémon as the gym leader during the fight, using the same type and amount of healing items as the gym leader, and playing on Set mode.

Pokémon Emerald Version is both my most played, as well as my favourite. I simply like Hoenn as a region: I think it's one of the more thematically coherent regions in the entire series, and a periodic romp through RSE always takes me back.

I want to finish my first Ultra Sun playthrough I started about a year ago.
I learned the hard way that if you don't use xp share you get fucked later on. I'm underleveled and needed a team of 6 to beat the lv40 poipole the ultra recon squad threw at me. it doesn't help that my team comp is shit and i insist on using malamar who dies to everything.
i have a-ninetales, lycanroc and a low level mudsdale on the backburner. i thought about getting salazzle or turtonator and braviary to round out my team but that just makes me insanely weak to rock and ice. i guess togedemaru or klefki are options.

Emerald by far for both. FR and Crystal are the runner-ups probably. I like hoenn and i like how fast gen3 plays. i like the old non-phys/spec split for a different approach to moves. There's also the staggering amount of shitmons i love to use in hoenn. and i'm a frontier fag, so there's that.

i notice PMD getting a lot of love, but i feel gates isn't getting much of that. it's the smallest pmd, but it's pretty good and the characters and story are fun.

Shiny hunting blows so I cracked after 1800 and injected my Nickit so I could enjoy the game. Grabbed a regular Emolga, looking for a third party member. (After Baltoy)

I'm sure it would have to be RBY or Silver, probably Silver. When I was younger I would run the game without saving in an afternoon, quitting at the 5th gym or whatever. I've beaten Crystal the most.

sounds great, didn't know that was available. Do you have 2 (3)DS' to move between? I finished White on TwilightMenu last month but I had sort of resigned to being able to trade my dues to White 2 for the PWT. If I can move from emulator to 3DS with this I might have to follow your lead. I've always wanted Shaymin to fucking around with the event items hadn't crossed my mind either.

Playing Incel Emerald right now. Haven't budged from Route 102 in 3 days. Caught a few shinies (rate's 1/1024 in this hack), been hunting for a shiny Ralts and have not seen a sparkle in over 5k encounters now.
Emerald is my favorite baseline game, closely followed by FR.

No spin-offs I can think of off the top of my head. I can recommend Gaia, Liquid Crystal, Radical Red, Blazed Glazed, and Inclement Emerald though for hacks. All of those are fun.

I'm actually not planning on evolving Shroomish, believe it or not. Breloom is strong, but I already have a Fighting-type in Combusken, and Shroomish has more utility in its move-set than Breloom does.

To be fair, breloom has the exact same base hp and spdef, it gets 20 more def though and much more attack and 20 more spatk.
I guess I can see it if you're going for spore.

Firered/leafgreen or LGPE (LGPE is best Kanto, but its not traditional)
Gold, Silver or Crystal (quite small differences between them)
Emerald or ORAS if you like 3ds graphics
Platinum or wait for BDSP
The only gens have only one choice obviously, no remakes.

Basically skip RBY, HGSS, and ORAS unless you like 3ds grahpics more. And definitely platinum over original DP

Breloom is a major badass, seriously.
He learns great STAB moves like priority mach punch, eventually gets drain punch too, learns the bulk up tm, still gets leech seed. He's an absolute unit in a game that really suits grass and fighting types in specific fights.

They're both pretty good, but breloom is easily better vs wattson for resisting electric and the priority. Combusken is usable against Flannery and even can use it against Winona to her fire weak mons, but other than that it really shines in the E4, but then again so does breloom.
Fighting types are just really good in hoenn. Can't go wrong with either.

Basically there can't be any clash between the two games. With different seeds I imagine there could be. A mon in one game can't be #50 in the dex whereas the same mon is #70 in the other randomizer's dex.

thanks guys. i have such a nostalgia for the pokemon craze when the games first came out. i can remember leaving my house with the cards and the games and just walking around. before i knew it i would be at some rando kids front yard with about 10 - 20 other kids all trading and battling. shit was crazy. got to relive it when go came out. me and the boys would be downtown and there were hundreds of people just walking around. some random dude would show up with a grill and cops would be walking around playing it too. one even told us where squirtle was and we went and caught him. i dont know what it is about pokemon but the shits magical.

Pokemon Ranger series is a blast to play on a handheld system, wish they tried to revive it for Switch. And the Mystery Dungeon games are great as well, with Explorers of Sky being my favorite game in the whole franchise.

hard mode:

This never happened in this playthrough, but did happen when I tried it last time in Drayano's Blaze Black, I had a shiny Mankey before the 1st Gym.

Only Pokemon that died were a Pansage I sacked for Lenora's Watchog's Retaliate cause nothing I had was going to live through that,
my Swoobat, which I lost to a random trainer and revived after the 3rd badge, then never used because Swoobat kinda sucks,
and my Victini, which I lost to the rival fight after the 3rd badge.

I found it better to just delay the challenge just so I didn't have to deal with the headache of what to do otherwise. So for the Trio and Lenora I just used whatever I felt like catching, because for Lenora, if you're playing without trades and just the vanilla encounters, the only legal teams would be Tympole (eventually Water/Ground) and Drilbur (eventually Ground/Steel) OR Pidove and Woobat. None of which live a guaranteed STAB boosted Retaliate.

You make a good case with "trading" mons over, and I did that with having both fossil mons so I could have more ways to match the Rock type for Elesa (which I didn't even fucking need because I swept with Light Screen Emolga), but at that point I just wonder if this challenge is better suited for romhacks/randomizers/fangames or as a supplementary rule for nuzlockes akin to mono-type runs.

I've posted about my battle tower adventures a few times before and after my massive failures with the Infernape, Latios Registeel team I went back to pic related team https://files.catbox.moe/mwvyfv.png, which I used in my farthest run of 73 wins in the first attempt. Just beat the brain for the second time now and it was funny to see the AI completely implode on itself. Wanted to post a bunch of pics so I just made a quick thing on paint with my team too for anyone that might care to see. I even made an excel some time ago to track my quest through the battle tower for the fifth star.

Also been doing super contests in between and I've beaten the hardest level for 3 of them already, so I'm hoping to complete that too, at some point.

Are you talking about connecting to wiimmfi? Ive been trying to connect to it for other games, but my 3ds sometimes detects my mobile hotspot or sometimes it doesnt, its frustrating.

I finally beat shield but my victory is hollow. My zamazenta got hop's zacian to 25% before getting two shot and the rest of my team was slow and or weak to it. I only won first try because my excadrill tanked a hit with friendship hacks and earthquaked it.

Notrade-evo patch on hacked 3DS. I was likely going to save edit the mons I capture into a gen 6 or 7 save and transfer it to bank/home afterwards, but there really isn't anything preventing me from just editing them to begin with. Just wasn't sure if it's worth the time. The fact that there's still like four unexplored towns makes it feel weird to just skip to the sequels.

Gengar is pretty cool with destiny bond + 3 immunities and good SpA. Hadn't considered using Breelom but from using Swampert I have the feeling that mons with x4 weakness seem to weigh a lot on the teams the AI selects to use against you. I got a 6IV dragonite on the gts recently and at some point I'll SR for a good suicune on SS so maybe I'll end up using them.

beat the Fire gym, since my team was on rebuild I was 23-28 in levels (28 being my Sobby, tried not to use him). Would have been fine to wait out Dynamax with Protect but he kept burning me and forcing me into bad Pokemon. His Arcanine crit the Bunnery (evolved after) and his Ace OHKO Baltoy because I forgot the Bug/Psyc typing.

I mean, it was easy when I just threw that water starter in but I did try to avoid it.

I value team comp and freedom more than anything and the game offers you that along with nice QoL features. I wanted, per say, to use Accelgor without bullshit and you can get him in Shield.To say its not living up to its potential is an understatement, but as a handheld series' first step it is ok. I like the presentation of music and art direction, though some Galar 'mon suck. Raid battles break balance but I can see where the design philosophy is going with the Wild Areas, and I don't mind it.

Might use the meme Penguin as my Sixth just for the hall of fame screen. I think Crown Tundra is thought of well, and is the "postgame"
