Usually happens a couple dozen times each playthrough. I like those fights. This isn't counting the E4 who are all assholes.

I use my bromons a lot. As babymons, Togepi, Cleffa and Happiny have small BSTs so they tend to faint more than the other three if not exclusively at times.
I love that though, using babymons adds a much needed difficulty to the games.

a shit ton. I play using only underleveled shitmons. Still pretty easy considering revived and battle items. but my mons all die almost every battle. Kinda fun that way, with "real" stakes.

First time I played stormsilver, a few times. The gym leader difficulty surprised me. I got up to the E4 and I decided to restart. On my 2nd playthrough I got all the way to the E4 without a single pokemon fainting until Lance made my Blastoise faint. His lvl 60 Dragonite always fucks me with his outrage.

frequently, i usually don't use many items and leave pokemon in when i really shouldn't, especially pre gen6 trying to get extra levels on someone so i leave them in hoping they live the super effective hit and usually regret it :^)

As for earlier games, I played Yellow, which I didn’t like and quit after Surge, so I can’t remember. I played Silver, which I actually liked, and I was a 6 year old then, so I definitely had some Pokémon faint due to silly mistakes, same applies to my favorite childhood game Emerald, which was available in my country yet R/S weren’t for some reason.

In my last couple nuzlockes I can count up all the corpses and take an average

>8 - Silver including Red
Over those 6 runs that's an exact 7 dead mons per run. Neat to know.

all the time, specially playing on set, specially having the mons underleveled by almost fucking 10 levels. I really underestimated the level curve of sun and moon without exp. sharing. The god damn beans and taking care of the team asspulled me out of the league.
