Those two aren't Rathalos reskins tho. In fact they have completely different models and animations. Astalos can scratch the ground with wings crawls and move it at will. Rathalos can't do that.
Seragois' talons are completely different to both Rath & Astalos. Those have 3 toes and 1 back toe where Arcon Wyrm has 2 toes and 1 back toe.
Seragois also have bat-like wings like Astalos where Rathalos wings are like birds.

Not him but MH stories is LITERALLY rock paper scissors. To the point where the optimal strategy to beat an early boss is to do it when your party member leaves so you never lose at rock paper scissors.

Nah, its literally the worst flying-mount mechanic implementation i ever seen...
But it somehow still better than LGPE "flying" where it was just "you just walking but slightly higher than usual"

T. never played the game
You can't do that because suddenly wild monsters using moves without alighment to any of three types pretty often. And side quest bosses are often more difficult than story bosses so you will just eat the dirt without npc party members anyway.

Mons do use non alignment moves but it's telegraphed, you're supposed to just save affinity to use your dodge. Every battle is overly choreographed.

Well, Gammoth is suddenly a punching bag in MHST, thats right.
But it is one of the rare cases still.
Most of them have patterns with whole three RPS types + moves without types + different rotation of patterns considering phases/charge states/enrage states etc
And you will suck if you havent memorised all those patterns well enough to do the right moves.
And then here is also a types just like in Pokemon so here is also moves of those types
+ weapon types combined with elemental types combined with RPS types

The thing is that it should be additive, so you keep doing more and more mons per gen until you are done.
