Look, if the anime takes so many liberties with pokemon logic that it lets Pikachu defeat a ground type with an electric move, it doesn’t mean that Bea is guaranteed to win. The storyboarders will pull something from under their tails if they feel like it.

You are using game mechanics to try to explain anime logic. Lucario took multiple Bullet Punches, a Cross Chop, a Wing Attack, and High Jump a kick to the face and is still kicking. They are setting this match up for Ash to overcome Bea so he can move on to bigger fish.
