>>48584152>Trainer customization>Raid battles I agree with you there, though personally I can't justify dexcut and feature pruning for them.
>CampingCamp is honestly just a less interactive Amie/Refresh. Can't even pet my Pokemon anymore. Any cooking minigame is nice, but aside from healing/exp there's no real reason to cook. Pokeblocks and Poffins at least had a purpose in Contests.
>Open world hub areaI found the basegame Wild Area to be pretty flat and lacking in interesting landmarks, if only they were as varied and detailed as the DLC ones.
All I really wish for from GameFreak at this point isn't a huge leap forward in spectacle or novelty, I just want a collection of all the best previous features wrapped up in one game.
Things such as:
>actual dungeons with multiple floors>unlimited TMs >PSS>large regional dex for replay variety>National Dex or at least every Pokemon in the code>smart AI or proper difficulty options available from the get go>less focus on narrative, or at least less cutscenes, as well as more confidence in the player's intelligence, even if they're a child.>Safari Zone>legendaries with their own dungeons or anything requiring exploration>competitive QoL >Battle Frontier>Contests or other side activities Considering that Pokemon has had years upon years to experiment and iterate, I don't feel this is an unreasonable thing to ask as a consumer who cares a lot about the series.
I'd be perfectly fine with sprite art again and more time in between releases if it meant getting richly crafted Pokemon games
