I have been getting back into pokemon for the first time in a few years, and I have played through platinum and sword. I decided to go for a run of HeartGold, and that I would begin my run with a shiny hunt as I had never attempted to get a shiny before. I am currently 1260 srs deep and Im hoping for a shiny totodile, but as Im going through the resets Im wondering to myself how people can do this so much. I will almost definitely never attempt a shiny hunt after this, and I cant understand how people would subject themselves to hours of what is objectively not fun or stimulating gameplay (if you can even call it gameplay).
