These changes give Kartana the physical bulk of Ferrothorn, but the speed of Serperior, while still keeping the prime number pattern.
Does do defensive sets and scarf sets now completely outclass Ferrothorn/Serperior, and does Kartana stay in OU while buffed like this (no movepool changes)

It's offensive profile is the same, what the changes do is improve the viability of defensive sets while letting it outspeed some sun/rain/sand boosted mons while scarfed, which has been a big issue in the SWSH meta since the last round of bans.
Case in point on the need for a physical wall: Buzzwole is OU right now, in part due to its ability to sponge Earthquake.
Kartana doesn't set up hazards like Ferrothorn, but has semi-reliable recovery and is an offensive threat even when uninvested. But it can't threaten the steel birds in the same way Ferrothorn can, and can't sponge any STAB special hits at all, even with an HP boost.

What are Galarian Slowking and Corviknight?
Defense is a role that is recognized by the proper stats, movepool, and typing, and Kartana has all 3.
You are being retarded saying it isn't defensive because it can already run defensive sets. And unlike Lando, the weak offensive typing and low BP moves means unboosted Kartana isn't as strong as 181 attack would suggest.

Ferrothorn and Serperior are already Grass-types with defined OU roles, but outside of those roles they're starting to feel the power creep, namely that the new walls all have higher offensive presence or pivoting in the form of teleport and flip turn and the scarfers have greater immediate power like Dragpult
The rise of something like Buzzwole speaks to the need of a more offensive physical wall, but Buzzwole is still pretty shit in that role outside of its Earthquake resistance

literally stat buffs
its a big fucking charged-up golem but its slow AND has bad defenses on top of a relatively bad typing.
Iron fist is shit, its a weak power-up for moves that are rarely worth using, its only STAB punch is shadow punch which is 60 fucking bp and ghost is trash for coverage.
No guard dynamic punch is the only thing it has going for it currently, they could at least buff its defenses to a point where they matter.
in this meta of min-maxed mons with strong movesets and abilities there's not much he can do in that state.

all it needs is enough bulk to live a hit, since its got a shit defensive type. At +30 base stats it's only got slightly higher BST than weavile, so that's not too overpowered.

You know golurk gets poltergeist, right? Even with DPunch, ghost/fight is whatever when you already got 3 100+ BP moves, 2 of which are STAB. Golurk needs a defensive ability so it has more opportunities to get those moves out, not just make them even stronger.
