Let's start a new general about writing the documentation for a good action-RPG Pokemon game.
We'll need game designers and writefags, I already have a story in mind you writefags can work on and you can self insert your OC into. You better love eevees, bitch.

1) As the game progresses you build up your team more and more till it turns into an army vs army type of real-time RPG game. You already know this because you start early on building your own HQ city. From a mansion/castle you expand to a whole city.
2) You can fight in the main world, but also have to fight in dungeons of said area. You start off in a city and if you get tired of the city you can go to the forest/grasslands where you can meet up with the pokemon society from Mystery Dungeon and team up with them like disposable henchmen.
