I never understood why gamefreak didn't make new battle frontiers for gen 7 or 8 it would probably allow them to have alleviated some of the backlash especially considering the outrage it had for not being in ORAS. It keeps older players content and the "it's too tough for new players" excuse doesn't cut it because the battle frontier is exclusively postgame content.
