That's what you fucks forget - they have *many* long-term employees, much less Tajiri's styleof management was let his friends do whatever hours they'd wanted (Masuda and the other programmer on gen I had a habit of going to work on night-shift to blast techno and not disturb the others in-office).
That they're also offering Gear Project - allowing staff to work on their own pet projects, if up-to-date with company work with the promise of a budget and lead on the project if the senior staff think it's funky enough and I really gotta wonder, are those reports legit and certainly when compared to the rest of the industry in Japan, as I already said.
