Game Freak finally got so tired of making remakes every couple of years because Twitter spammed them with 'X CONFIRMED' memes all day. So they gave D/P to some shitter dev hoping they would make it so bad that people would stop asking for more remakes. Especially because they don't want to remake the worst-selling Generation because it will sell even less than the originals. They want to move on to trying new ideas, for example Legends. Either way, we shouldn't expect remakes to continue after BDSP, or if they do they will be low-tier, low-effort garbage done by ILCA or some other literally-who dev.
