I’ve noticed that the men who I tried dating in the past year have some kind of association with Pokemon, and being a very big fan of this franchise to the point of basing my entire personality around how much I love it, it matters a lot to me.
If the man I’m dating hates Pokémon, or thinks it’s childish, he isn’t shy of belittling me for my passions or will put up a really weak facade of tolerating them. If the man I’m dating likes Pokémon, or liked it at some point in his life, he will make it clear that I like things the wrong way and will try to change me to fit his own ideas, as if I’m not a real person and just an accessory he can brag about to his friends so they stop thinking he’s a loser, because saying he has a “girlfriend” mends his fragile ego. At least this helped me realize that men might look different, but they all have cookie cutter personalities.
