>>48611427The only real function of a 'baby' Pokemon should be to introduce the family earlier in game. Magby, Elekid, Smoochum, Mantyke and Riolu are good examples of baby Pokemon. Igglybuff, Pichu and Budew are bad examples, as their evolutions are only marginally stronger, and therefor could be introduced at the same point in the game. Of course, that doesn't fucking matter when Game Freak don't fucking do anything with them, or stick them at end/post game.
