1. Apu works, but only does jobs which are inherently honorable. (medieval warrior/superhero are all typical Apu's)
2. Apu is wholesome and pure
3. Apu is frens with everyone decent, (except shitty idiots)
4. Apu's social standing is incredibly high. He is popular yet not outgoing, when he does go out he always succeeds and makes frens.
5. Apu has a grim determinism to him that endears him. When Apu say, defecates himself, he is ashamed, he is not sly like pepe would be, he might even tear up a bit. We can see ourselves in Apu, but Pepe is just an abstraction of some stoner frog, Apu is a gentle, genuine soul.
