In addition to Abilities, Pokemon are now able to have inherent characteristics called Traits that have to do with their physical makeup or behavior. Certain abilities (Levitate, Heavy/Light Metal, Flame Body, etc) are now classified as Traits. Pokemon that lose Abilities in this way either retain their other Abilities, if applicable, or gain new ones that are apropos to the Pokemon (e.g. Gastly and Haunter lose Levitate, their only Ability, and get something like Unnerve instead).

Poison becomes super effective on water Poisoning the waterhole, pollution making it unsafe to drink / live in
Electric becomes super effective on Grass Lightning strikes often can catch vegetation ablaze
Ghost becomes super effective on Fire Ghosts are cold, and often times can easily blow out a candle, putting out a flame
Eviolite works on ANY pokemon from the evolving pokemon. Fully evolved too. Won't work on pokemon without an evolution

I don't like it. This would complicate fights and building too much.
Some Pokemon should just have Levitate, Iron Barbs, flame body... as their only ability.

Those items work for Pyukumuku, Psudowoodo, and Wobbuffet.
Not that they would be gamebreaking, but that’s a bit too much. Especially when Piloswine and Dunsparce miss out on those items.

The less health a mon has the more its stats drop in battle. Healing in battle doesn't fully recover their stats either and potions, max heals, etc don't recover them at all.

Pokemon Get IV and EV points as they level up. With a max cap. So IV breeding becomes pointless.

Evs can be reassigned at the move tutor in the pokemon centres.

Shiny pokemon are replaced with a sliding color scale of pokemon.

Legendaries now have genders and can be bred

Use smogon's team builder system in non ranked online play, and just have pokemon be unlocked as you register them in the pokedex.

Raichu should still be able to use the Light Ball, but with only a 50% boost.
Big Mushroom should double Parasect's defenses.
In pvp and battle facilities, all IVs are treated as 31.
Hyper Beam and all similar moves recharge instantly on a knockout.
