That it was STILL using the Stadium models for gen 1-2 pokemon, which was true, and that it had no story mode or anything like Colosseum and XD before it had. And that was a big letdown to a lot of people who wanted another fuller game like that instead of just a new gen Stadium game. It came off as more shallow than the two gamecube games that people had just played, and despite how overall it looked pretty good, the continued reuse of N64 assets was still lazy.
I thought the game was decent for what it was at the time. Not great but not awful, and sadly it still looks like a masterpiece next to the garbage we get now. Just fucking sad
