Japanese have a very heavy work-culture and an almost oppressive "just be grateful for what you get and don't complain" attitude that they're expected to abide by. So for example, if Game Freak asked a Japanese playtester what they thought of Gen 9 being a mobile, gacha game, the playtester would most likely just give feedback on what they want out of mobile game features and express gratitude for the chance to playtest-- even if in their minds and hearts, they'd want Gen 9 to be a proper console game.
If you showed a room of Japanese playtesters BDSP, they're more likely to bite their tongue and give feedback like "maybe improve the graphics and make it easier for me to play on the train to work" I'd say they're less likely to question major decisions like "Why is there no Platinum content?" or outright say "I don't like this"
