If you properly sized the monsters, you'd have to make animations for small creatures (say, Pikachu) in combat with a giant one (Dragonite). In the past this would've been doable but Gay Freak wanted to shit out 1,000 Pokemon so now it'd be a total headache.

If you've been following SMT then you'd immediately realize that the demons aren't to scale anywhere but the overworld. Demons like Abaddon and Oyamatsumi are massively scaled down when you use them in battle, And the scale of the Pokemon on the overworld has never been what people whined about in sword and shield
