So how long until the Pokémon fanbase realizes that there being two versions of every game with slight differences between them is a scummy business practice? There is absolutely no reasonable justification for it in the modern video game landscape, especially given the existence of third versions. Even if for whatever reason they want to gate off things like legendaries to being one per playthrough it could just be locked behind a story decision. Do Pokémon fans just have absolutely no self respect? If any other big video game tried this same thing they'd be torn to shreds by their fans, but with Pokémon it's suddenly okay because that's just the way it's always been?
