So if the remakes include all the pokemon up to the 4th generation, wouldn't this mean we can now transfer them all to SwSh? They have all the assets done, what's keeping them from patching all Pokemons into SwSh?

There was never anything actually stopping them from filling the dex via post release updates, the reason we are never getting a full dex again is so people have a reason to pay for a Home subscription.

They've had all the assets done since X/Y. They had an entire fucking initiative specifically about future proofing models so they could use them long term

This was never about not having the assets for every pokemon

No, because Galar has import restrictions on non-native and invasive Pokemon species.
