There’s 18 types and even if you have a full team of 6, each duel type, you still can’t cover everything. Less so considering VGC games are 2v2 teams of 4.

Why not consider trying a different type? Do you really have to have Charizard in every game?

I never got why people bitched about this in the originals either. There unironically should be significant differences between regions and the pokemon available during normal progression. The lack of ability to use the rest of your pokemon from previous games after becoming champion is inexcusable

Doesn't that suggest some shady advertising? There trailers also show following mons when you only have Rock Smash which also isn't possible in the actual game. Having shown glipses of Houndour, Teddiursa and more seems like a real shitty and intentional move.
