Best thing about BDSP is no new PokeSpe chapter since there's no new plot to use, and so there won't be any retarded bending over backwards to make the plot make sense with the originals like with ORAS. You can't improve upon perfection anyway.

I don't think you can find good scans anywhere, you'll just have to put up with it. I re-read the whole thing about a month ago, and I was in a position like yours. Eventually I gave up trying and just settled with what I could find. On the bright side theres next to no issues from gen 4 onward.

Plot is not needed to make a special chapter. The HGSS chapter was just the arceus event and the pokeathlon. The minor changes from this game like the grand underground can be enough for a new chapter plus when this game is hacked they will find a new mythical or legendary which is all that is needed for a chapter.
