This is probably how the game will connect with HOME, seeing as Pal Park serves absolutely no purpose given HOME exists. You won't be able to access this area until HOME connectivity is made available.

I highly doubt the game will get any DLC, it's a budget stopgap title

However I'm assuming it does actually have pal park functionality and it'll be enabled post launch via an update to Home. I do not think this means there's going to be additional content and a whole new fucking soundtrack out in a day 1 patch though

This is likely just another "The Battle Frontier Project has started" message. There's no reason for Pal Park to exist when we can transfer mons in from Home. It was a necessity in Gen IV because the Gen III games were on GBA and had no way to communicate except for that.

Several parts of Alola were detailed on the map and even had a large amount of geometry in game but inaccessible in the original game such as the Golf Course.

Kek thats not what it is. They're pulling a frog in boiling water tactic. You put a frog in normal water so it wont jump out of the pot and let it naturally heat up to a boil so it stays in there. Testing the waters would be throwing the frog in the boiling pot at different temperatures in hopes that it doesnt jump out. In this case they're slowly stripping away to slowly get the consumer base accustomed to less. Its why you had people going "You know USUM wasn't as bad in hindsight compared to SWSH" and the same will happen with the next game. A good non-Pokemon game doing this is FFXIV, strip more content and scale per expansion and let the playerbase get used to it.

That has literally nothing to do with what's being discussed here. It's one thing to put inaccessible areas in a new map made from scratch to showcase a new region. It's a completely different thing to copypaste 99% of an entire 15-years old map, with a SINGLE random as fuck postgame area being changed to look more complex, only for that area not to exist in the game at all. The first one is lazy, the second is nonsensical.

Home integration so far has been you move pokemon in and out of boxes in Home and when you save it writes that to the game's save and you boot the game with those pokemon. It shouldn't need a building or ANYTHING in game to interact with it.
LGPE had GO Park which had a little minigame thing going on with it for direct transfers from GO to LGPE since I think Home wasn't available at the time, and I'm not even 100% on if you can do GO > Home or not.

You can! My actual interest in this game was getting my GO Pokemon from HOME to an actual game but if I need to wait till next year then I'll just get the game used, its a shitshow with no content so I'll expect used copies within a week or so.
