A fair bit if you want to learn how. Model swaps should be as simple as overwriting one model with another if you can find it, Selene as a Battle Tree boss should definitely be doable. Mixeli was pumping a lot of these what ifs a while back.

PKHex can cover that, you can extract your Pokemon as individual files, then load them into the extracted save game of whichever save you ultimately want to place them in. I don't know if the Generation still matters anymore; e.g if you can just open a Gen 1 Pokemon file into a 3DS save and let it do the conversion for you.

How am I supposed to make Butterfree and Vivillon more distinct from each other? Vivillon is the same thing but better in every way. Mothim has Tinted Lens, Beautifly doesn't share an ability with any of them, and Masquerain can easily be retyped to Bug/Water. The worst part is Compound Eyes Hurricane and Sleep Powder are pretty much the best things either of them can hope for so the only options left are stats and typing.

do you have megas? if so you can make g-max butterfree a mega for later on in the game and then just buff vivillon.
if not, maybe make vivillion bug/fairy? its regular form already has the fairy color scheme and it's from the region that introduces fairy types.
also, you don't have to include both

GMax Butterfree is a good solution. The tradeoff between Butterfree taking your Mega slot vs Vivillon getting to hold an item while being a middle ground power level between regular and Mega Butterfree works well enough. Thanks.

Not a whole lot you can do since Vivillon is Butterfree+ in a lot of aspects. If you're willing to do stat buffs, Butterfree could lean harder into its SpDef (hopefully with a bit of Speed too) while Vivillon stays a glass cannon. You could also give them distinct support options. Vivillon already gets stuff like Friend Guard and Aromatherapy, meanwhile Butterfree gets more status/debuff moves without needing a relearner.
