It's kind of annoying that you get access to presumably hundreds of pokemon that none of the NPC trainers use
the whole feature just feels like a weird roundabout way of just avoiding using the platinum dex

Not been tested yet. Going by the leakers train card he hasn't fucked with statues and only did the underground tutorial.
It would be incredibly scummy if they were post game due to how it was advertised.
