There were literally people who defended over half of all Pokémon (the most obvious example of content in Pokemon) being retconned out of the franchise and imprisoned.
At least there’s some logic to leaving out SwSh moves, since it makes things more fair to the Pokémon that were banished from Gen 8 until now.
