i like bamco but making a pokemon game is too restrictive, there are too many guidelines to follow, shareholders to please, time schedules and budgets to reach. there's not a single developer that will ever make a good official pokemon game unless you burn down the entire pokemon company first
if the anime stopped existing and the tcg was cancelled and the merch significantly scaled down etc, then MAYBE after giving like, 6+ years of development to a GOOD team (like ubisoft milan), then maybe something good would come out of it
and it would sell like shit because pokedrones are biochemically dependent on a very specific brand of dopamine and completely refractary to any kind of experimentation or improvement
