>>48666057Oof, uh, some time around when they stopped doing special events for the event mons, that was my first real "WTF" moment.
The obvious Kanto lean on Megas, and the fact that quite a few of the Mega Pokemon were already OP before being upgraded was another.
The postgame disappearing was another, especially with the Battle Tower fiasco.
Them dropping the gen gimmicks every gen is yet another. I was really hoping for more Mega Pokemon, but then we get the generic animations of the Z moves, and the absolutely certified shit in all aspects Max forms being as shit as they are just made things 10x worse. Also I miss Totem Pokemon.
Dungeons and caves getting simpler and simpler, to the point where you don't need guides or tricks to get through them.
Fights getting easier.
"Friendly rivals".
EXP share being locked on.
Constantly getting free shit from NPCs.
Getting handed masterballs in every gen, usually without any effort involved.
No side paths or side areas.
10000% more linear than it used to be.
Ride outfits (though I can understand them adding helmets.)
No minigames.
Turner.
The 3D games not getting many proper animations, or even have fucked animations for multiple gens in a row, like Blastoise's cannons. I can tolerate 2D sprites being less animated, but there's no fucking reason for kicks to be animated as hops, or for the models to just slide in directions or rotate on an axis to "symbolize" most moves.
Actually, no, my autism has one major thing, one huge thing that's fucked me up ever since the jump to 3D: the model scaling.
It absolutely tears my asshole wide open that we're still seeing a 3ft tall Celesteela fighting a 2 ft tall Joltik while two 4ft tall teens watch.
I haven't paid for an actual Pokemon game since Diamond, but that trend will continue until there's a legit mainline game with proper model scaling on a system I actually own.
