Shills and single-player incels are clinging to any reason they can to justify the game. It would only take another hour or two to get through those matches if you actually battled the trainers throughout the main game, instead of skipping them like those speeding through the game to see and show everything as fast as possible before they get reported and taken down.

And then they would complain again about no new content, because once you've beaten the rematch nothing changes. Battling other people online is more fun than rematches with NPCs.

I love the gym rematches and still hate how the game looks and sounds. Still not buying it. I would trust the moveset makers at ILCA with the movesets of another Stadium entry with competent rental pokemon.

The game still sucks and nothing can really change it.
The rematches are still locked behind ABYSMAL main game and are replacement for severely neutered online play.
Playing original games with proper patches (FPS limiter removal + Fast Text + Fast HP Bar) is vastly superior experience

A good chunk of complaints were that due to EXP Share being on that the game would be really easy to beat since the gyms were not re-balanced. Hard leaders at the point you have tools to build your own team kinda alleviates it.

The real issue is that the underground scales to your badges.
