Always disable battle animations, and only turn them On for gym leader battles and important battles (rival, enemy team boss, E4, etc.)
Pokemon games, especially the 3D ones, are slooow and repetitive and clearing trainers on routes becomes tedious with battle animations always on.

I don't understand Rengegade Platinum. Why do people like every important fight having 6 mons from the very beginning. Early game it forces you to solo everything with your starter and catch your entire team before the 3rd Gym instead of having a natural build up of both player and trainer party size. Mainline doesn't ramp it up enough, but going in the complete opposite direction doesn't fix it either

it offers a different experience from the regular pokemon playthrough and Drayano's hacks tend to have a very carefully done level curve. Aside from the team and wild availability changes, he adds a lot of neat events and side quests to make the game feel more fresh

This I do appreciate, but the difficulty does nothing for me. Later in the game I can use actual strategy, but with the first gyms I just brute force until I eventually win because you simply don't have the options they do
