That's because developers used to care. Pokémon has been using the exact same models and animations since 2013, and now that they're on the Switch and not the 3DS their flaws are glaringly obvious. If they actually cared they would have made new models and animations to last them the Switch era, but they're lazy and don't give a shit because they know people will buy anyways. Hell, even if they stuck with the same models they could have at least updated the animations to match the quality of previous home console games. As it is they will never ever update the animations because normies voted with their money and chose mediocrity.
