>>48670700The amount of people here without any real world experience is staggering. I mean, this is /vp/ and most are underaged here but after all of these years I would expect some of the perennial users to mature.
Most people here, and I've seen this demonstrated over the years, think that the developers continue to work on the games until the last month or few weeks, and then just like that cartridges materialize out of thin air two to three weeks before release in stores across the globe for people to start leaking the games. This isn't how it works at all. Historically they've had to have these games done months in advance because the cartridges need to be made and then shipped worldwide. This year there's labor and supply chain issues that most people here probably don't even know is going on, it's not all Brandon's fault but he's one of the major reasons why, so it's taking extraordinarily longer lead times to ship many things. Video games included.
From this, it's obvious that they planned ahead by getting the games made before they were done development with the intention to patch the game at release. They also got a lot of feedback late in development after rolling out the trailer for the public and obviously addressed some of those concerns.
It's still really shitty, but it's not entirely incompetence.
