Reminder, that the BDSP remakes are made in unity, and that people will mod the shit outta of these games creating a new generation of the rom hacks. So far this is the best what we have got.

I've seen maybe two hacks for Mystery Dungeon. In comparison, there are so many mainline game romhacks and Essentials games that you can't count them all by this point. You're naive if you think fans won't be all over this shit. They've wanted an easy way to make 3D Pokemon games for years.

Honestly it's actually made me super excited. Not for BDSP of course, but this is by far the high point of its release. Probably the most excited I've felt about pokemon in the 3D era.

A lot actually. There’s already a full fledged Pokémon rom hacking engine for Unity. You could theoretically make Renegade Platinum but in 3D.
