Because it sounds like shit now. The heavy synth usage is awful in BDSP and it destroys many of the tracks which were more natural sounding on the DS. The trainer track is a key example, the DS version blows the version in BDSP out of the fucking water.
Unless you mean the DS sound item in which case the music samples used in the Switch version sound like they were recorded off of a DS audio jack.

The problem is that it's almost the same music.
It's not the exact same for battle themes. The instrumentation is completely out of balance and they're using midi instruments. In some cases like Cyrus's theme, the quieter melodies that are supposed to be secondary to the main melody are at the same volume or louder than the main melody which sounds awful. Cyrus's in particular sounds like it's off-key as a result.

I never liked DPP's music. The soundfont in those games is weird, comes off as really low quality compared to other DS games.
I never see anyone complain about it though so I assumed it was just me.
