She is nkt naturally attuned to dark type magic. Out of universe the game devs didn't feel like making Luxray have dark type.

well, if you want to go that route, centiskorch is a centipede and is bug/fire

why the hell bug/fire? centipedes dont spit fire in real life yaada yada they use poison so they should be bug/poison etc etc
in fact why does the fire type even exist? there arent any real life creatures that breathe flames to fight enemies blah blah
