the genome slate is a 'game boy ticket' to a mewtwo-themed amusement park ride. you're walking instead of riding a rollercoaster, but it's a one-way corridor with some appropriately themed accoutrements but all of the meaning drained out of it. mewtwo's room doesn't allude to cerulean dungeon, doesn't build on the (admittedly interesting) elements that LGPE added to pokémon mansion.. in some ways it's even shittier than what XY's mewtwo room did. you could argue it's a step up from what SM did for mewtwo but where SM at least bothers to propose its mewtwo is from another dimension, the game boy ticket summons up a half-assed carnival ride for your entertainment and a mewtwo with no purpose or rationale as to its existence or appearance but for you to catch it.
i refuse to believe the frog-in-boiling-water strategy this game is implementing is so effective you're seriously going to argue in favor of this shit, but anyone on /vp/ in 2021 is either a zoomer, a bootlicker, a master baiter, or someone like myself who falls for the bait every single time and ive sincerely lost my marbles enough to not know which bucket you fall into
