When it comes to remaking videogame music you either go balls to the wall and make a new composition using the original only as a stepping stone or you go safe with only slightly upgrading the original. Pokemon already done the former (like with HGSS) and the latter (like with LGPE). While the former is better it also has a great chance of angering the original OST fans (again, just like HGSS) and in BDSM defense it's music doesn't sound nearly as soulless, machine-made trash like LGPE in which not a single track is an upgrade to the original.
