Truth be told, I'd rather play a bad original game than a bad remake of a good game, and at least with the DLC, Swshit becomes slightly passable. BDSM is legitimately pointless if you already own Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum.

DP remakes aren't as good as HGSS or FRLG in terms of renovation of the old ones, but they're still based on far better games than Shit&Shill: optional areas, no hallway routes, no braindead difficulty, no annoying characters who stop you every two steps, no shitty gimmicks, no retarded le quirky ebin nuPokemon, an actual postgame that's not behind a paywall. For the simple fact that Sinnoh is a well-developed region with a unifying theme, yes.
It's still the second-worst remakes though, and I'll only change my mind on that if they add the Frontier + missing Pokémon.
