IVs are pokemon genes, and supersede the old DV system. A Pokemon can have an IV value of 0-31. 0 being shit 31 being perfect. This parameter is assigned to each stat. In later games you can now max out IVs with super training, but in the older games they were fixed, making some Pokemon objectively stronger than others.

m8 get some priority and coverage (all 'mons learn these) and AT WORST catch like 5 of the 'mon you want and go with the best one. Once I was aware of Pokemon typing the game isn't that hard ESPECIALLY with Wonder Trade.

Get a Blobbos (equivalent of Ditto in Clover) with 5 or 6 perfect IVs and have it fuck the Pokemon you want with perfect IVs = baby with 5 or 6 perfect IVs

I don't love the mainnbattle theme, why the fuck is the diverse soundtrack getting interrupted by this basic theme all the goddamn time?
This is a flaw in pokemon and jprgs at large tho, but I would like hacks to not interrupt the route theme unless it's a battle against a trainer(and maybe have battle trainer themes that build off their jingles?)

The game I woild recommend is Pokemon Xenoverese. It has more than 100 new pokemon and new forms, but many others aswell. It is not a Rom Hack. But a fan game. It has cool mechanics, like the Sound Type. The dialog is like quite funny, like a more serious and less shitposty Clover. The main problem in my opinion is the battle animation. For some reason it only has a few animations for every type. Which is kinda anoying

It's an essentials game, that's why. The game had a short-lived general when it first came out so maybe OP wants to look into the archive and get some nifty mods made by /vp/ anons like early starters, etc

You're probably not going to find many romhacks with an entirely new dex of fakemons, it's a rather ridiculous workload if you want the game to actually be quality too, there's a reason why Clover took 7 years.
