They'd have to rebuild the randomizer and riggings from the ground up, plus the models for anyone that lacks one like Frontier Brains, so it'll take quite a while. You don't rush art.

You're more likely to see an OC Donut Steel/Selfinsert Frontier that puts Shockslayer Crystal: A Shockslayer ROMHack by Shockslayer (Created by Shockslayer) to shame than the actual Battle Frontier. Only autism can fuel such a daunting task until someone makes base framework for the Frontier, a setup for gimmicks and everything else.

I won’t say it’s lazy but it’s definitely less appealing. The gimmicks compared to the original Battle Frontier just aren’t good. The Battle Hall is just monotype runs, the Battle Factory and Tower are carbon copies, the Battle Castle is the Tower but with items, and the most unique one being the Battle Arcade is again just the Tower but with a gimmick roulette. The Battle Revolution facilities had more unique facilities than the actual Battle Frontier.

Realistically probably never, remember all the "I'm going to mod the full dex back in SwSh" that never amounted to anything?
I'd be happy if it did happen, they can use the assets for the Brains from Masters whenever Argenta and Dahlia are added, but I'm not expecting it at all.

That's probably the easiest to do. A lot of copypaste of existing codes can easily be hijacked for it. (See: Essentials)

But model work would be what takes the longest.

This. Pokemon modders are the biggest faggots in the world. The entire community is still being carried by a single guy that revamped the FRLG source code decades ago and made it open source, and as far as I know they haven't had a single noteworthy contribution since. Now it's nothing but people using the same copypasta software making absolute trash while stuffing it full of their coomer bait and dogshit ocs. 99% of the romhack community is about as technical as a Mario Maker player. Pokemon is the largest franchise on the planet but they get routinely styled on by much smaller fanbases on a weekly basis that it's just pathetic at this point.
