The sad fact is that ORAS is the best remake since HGSS simply by meeting the low standard of not Dexcutting. They're still much worse remakes than FRLG and HGSS since they ignore Emerald's improvements, but to their credit they're still probably the best 3D Pokemon games after USUM despite being clearly rushed.

Playing through it rn on Ryujinx (yuzu sucks and all the emulator glitches are mostly due to yuzu's screen tearing issues) and I'm having a blast. I'll probably pick up Shining Pearl at launch. Remember, this is ILCA's first game, and it's an actual GOOD main series game. I'm excited to see ILCA progress and look forward to more projects from them in the future. Switch has taken every single Nintendo franchise to previously unseen heights, beating a GBC game was the least the first big console mainline RPG could do to justify itself, and it did it, albeit with the covid boost and the lack of 3rd versions to kill its legs

Let's see how many shills are actually willing to pay $60 for "Platinum, but worse." I'm not a GameFreak shill but I genuinely hope that Legends Arceus outsells BDSP. Not because I dislike ILCA, but to send them a message to TPC that the majority of the fanbase isn't comprised of nostalgia-ridden Genwunners or Sinnohfetuses who consider every Pokemon after 151 or 493 to be a nugen shitmon.
