>>48703458>Better regionSubjective. I think Sinnoh and Unova both have flaws as regions. Sinnoh requires a lot of backtracking and has too many HMs and roadblocks whereas BW is too straightforward apart from certain places like Chargestone cave.
>Better soundtrackSubjective. I agree for the most part, but I also like certain Gen 5 themes like Driftveil City theme or Ghetsis' theme. Some DP themes seem sloppy or lazy like the Eterna City theme being based on the Agate Village theme from Colosseum/XD.
>Better artstyle/spritesI agree that the Gen 5 spries are too pixelated, but I prefer the SM models to Gen 4 sprites.
>More challengingHow? All Pokemon games are easy, but if I remember correctly BW has a sharp level spike after beating the Elite Four the first time while the DP Elite Four levels remain the same. There isn't any VS Seeker/rematchable trainers or Black Tower/White Treehollow, so your only option is to either grind Audinos or go in underleveled for the Elite Four rematch.
>Slot machines, fossil digging, contests, secret bases, ball seals and other fun stuffNone of these really affect the core gameplay. BW also had the Entralink and Dreamworld and SM had the Pokepelago. I'll concede that it's more fun to dig in the underground for Fossils rather than simply being handed a fossil.
>Introduced physical/special split and online, whuich are more important than Gen 5's Triple/Rotation battles and Gen 6's Mega Evolution and Fairy type.I agree that these changes were more fundamental, but later gens inherit these features on top of the other gimmicks. So this argument would apply more if you were arguing that Gen IV was superior to Gens I-III.
