In my case if I don't like the direction a franchise is taking, I just stop consuming the franchise and jump to another. Because in this day and age, there are hundreds of different things to play/see. So much that I don't even have the time for even half of the them.
This remakes would be the first Pokémon games (of the mainline) that I'm skipping, and if legends it's not of my taste, I'll just go to another games. Because even if I like Pokémon and I would like to see it evolve and improve, pokemon it's not the only game or even entrainment there is.
Sometimes people here act like dumped boyfriends/girlfriends who just want to see their ex fail out of spite.
