>Trainer classesIt would be fuckin sick to play through the game as a Hex Maniac and have access to in exploration tools and in battle effects for it. Or certain locations only accessible to Swimmers for example. You don't get a starter, you have to use your trainer abilities to figure out your first catch. Maybe some classes like Ace Trainer just get a starter instead of abilities or something.
>Big dexIt goes without saying but I'd also want a huge new regional dex, at least 150 minimum, if we're just making wishes here. Also following pokemon, overworked encounters, dexnav, the good shit. No megas, z moves, or maxing.
>world interactionsThe ability to challenge gym leaders for their position. I like the botw angle where after you beat Ganon it puts you back outside as if you never went in, but the game remembers you did it and certain stuff is unlocked. So in this "before the champion, after the E4" status you could challenge a gym leader to a special battle where you must beat them with a team themed to their gym, challenge the water gym with water pokemon for example, and you can become that leader. Maybe the leader has some post challenge side quests and behaviors they can do once you kick them out.
>pick a sideIt would be best to be able to roll with the evil team. Maybe a small feature, but a fun one.
>love battle systemLA is already half doing this but I want real, live, dynamic battles. We can stick to just four moves and map them to the face buttons and just play it without being in an instanced battle.
>adaptive environmentNo HMs, but moves can effect your environment. Any move can be used outside battle. Sunny Day or Rain Dance for weather control to aid in exploration, or Magnet Rise or cross a gap.
