>>48711666>you saidI am not that anon, and they made the point shittily, because it doesn't make bonds nor draw power from them, it just stalks and abducts people.
Considering it draws it's power specifically from starlight, the added line is probably to clarify that they can only pull off their kidnapping feats with the power boost they get when the stars are brighter. Plus, the new dex entry added to shield for Gothitelle implies that they do still "spirit away" individuals even when they evolve, and will do it to adults. "Disliking conflict" can mean many things because it's just an aversion to confrontation; it can mean anything from wanting to avoid fights to just not wanting someone to notice and confront them on their actions.
Now I don't think it's a carbon-copy of Gardevoir myself, and I don't really think it's a "bad" one either, I was just saying that their argument was supposed to be the later and not the former.
That being said you can't deny it does share some connections to Gardevoir, from N's sisters each having one as their partner, to the mono-psychic designs, both mention seeing the future a lot, they're feminine yet often shown as male in-game (the event Gothorita with Shadow Tag was even gender locked to Male), their designs are bizarre caricatures of humans, and they do both care for their trainer, because otherwise Gothitelle wouldn't cry everytime it sees it's trainer's lifespan.
I still disagree with the notion that they're "Bad Gardevoir" but I can understand why someone might come to that conclusion.
If you want my opinion though Gothitelle's line is literally just the Pokemon equivalent of Gypsies.
