wouldn't be cool to have a team of cool Pokémon for a change, everyone has the regional bird, his starter and pseudo legendary on their team. And the starter is always very strong so the game turn very easy. With "Items" O meant healing items.

Using starters are fine because they're not that OP, compared to Base Stat 680 legendaries.
Items are also fine because you're just 1 individual fighting about 20 trainers in one route. Of course you'll want to survive

Pseudos don't make much difference in pve, they evolve pretty late, so basically only e4 and champ, if that.

Starters are all pretty broken. Only 70 stat points lower than pseudos, evolve rather early, and have the benefit of EVs because they're literally your first Pokemon.
