16 + 1 does not equal 18. It equals 17. So, assuming that line exists, that doesn't prove Calem and Serena are 18. It would prove that they are at least 17.
I want to find that line, because I want to know their age if they really do have an official one. I would like it if you could sho me the line in question. You said Looker claims you're the player character is too old to be his assistant, so I looked up those words in the text dump. But instead, I found... this.
