Probably not, its a quite streamlined, easy pokemon experience, and the graphics and stuff arent amazing

its probably the nostalgia that makes it enjoyable

Nearly all emulators have speedup options but you shouldn't have to grind in games for children and you can just use save states instead of regular saves, it's faster and safer too.

I think it's currently the definitive way to play Sinnoh. If someone manages to hack following pokemon into Renegade Platinum and remove the bit where you have to fuck off south of Hearthhome that will be the definitive version.

If you have an old 3DS, r4's are cheap as fuck.

Install homebrew channel, crack the firmware, install R4for3DS using Luma/FBI.

Now you can play the original Platinum for free, along with the entire rest of the DS library

Platinum is definitely worth it but I would recommend Flawless Platinum just because the default games are kind of infamous for having a small and shitty regional dex. Plus Flawless Platinum has a few QOL changes.

Yeah.
Maybe try playing Platinum first though. It's a bit hard to go back to it later (for me anyway) because the battle system before Gen5 is slow as shit.

Jumping off from this, be careful about r4's, the shitty Chinese bootleggers like to put magnets in the cart that softbrick it after a certain time.

You can avoid it by diligently changing your 3DS time back, or use a DS emulator like TwilightMenu+
