I haven't played a Pokemon game since Pearl more than 10 years ago. I remember pretty well the most fun I had was lurking on Serebii's chat rooms and trading. I started with literally nothing and by the time I got bored of it I had my boxes full of shinies and high value Pokemon and had a great time. I will get Shining Pearl to experience this again. The music and tiny graphical imperfections don't bother me since most of the fun I had was in trading.

I love how ever since the official base art happened, they've made a clear effort to not draw Palkia in any phallic shapes.
Other fun quirks include the inconsistent hand shapes (1 thumb 4 fingers vs 1 top thumb 3 fingers 1 bottom thumb), arm lengths, hip width, and the wings in general.
They can never seem to standardize a design for it.

Dex is the same as DP, so all Platinum improvements are gone and Pokémon like Rotom are still post-game only. Underground exists, but the majority of Pokémon are post-game only or locked away behind badges.
